Method 1 :

  1. Use WinRAR and browse to where the archive is located and use the repair option directly on the archive 
  2. Folder to put the repaired archive: Your Desktop is recommended
  3. Archive type: Treat the corrupt archive as RAR
  4. Go onto your desktop (Or where you put the repaired archive)
  5. Open the new RAR file
  6. Enjoy 🙂

Method 2 :

  1. Download 7ZIP : http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
  2. Install
  3. Extract file
  4. Enjoy 😀

  • Hi, I kept trying both methods, but it keeps telling me it's either damaged or corrupted, and every time I try to repair it, it shows 3 lines, then the last line says "No files repaired"

  • 'RAR file format unknown' is an error message thrown at you when your files have gone corrupt. Your next step is to repair them at the earliest.   • what the fuck is that ?!?!?!! damaged archives means CANT OPEN ! NOT A CANT EXTRACT COMPLATED !! if archive cant extract complated you must open winrar and click extract icon in the menu bar and TICKED THIS OPTION : "keep broken files" ! then your files extracted always how many of that is the complated and which that uncomplated and corrupted not extracted.
