Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne is an expansion pack for Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos.
Frozen Throne needs Reign of Chaos because RoC is its main games.
But for you to play DoTA and some other maps in Warcraft 3, you have to install Frozen Throne.
Reign of Chaos would not detect map like DoTA because it was created based on Frozen Throne.
