Roguelite fun

The King of Darkness cannot die… But he can still be beaten. You will restart your adventure again and again, that’s the charm of this kind of games, right? Don’t worry, even if you lose, you still keep some of the items and upgrades you acquired the last time you lived… Some of them, at least.

Summum Aeterna lets players retain their progress, featuring a permanent character and world upgrade system. No matter how many times you fall, your progression in the skill tree will be preserved, as well as the world enhancements you unlocked will remain forever.

Random worlds

Summum Aeterna has a unique world generator system that sets it apart from other games in the genre, the Seed Mechanic… Each one creates a unique world with different enemy behavior, special events, and even a bigger map size, depending on the rarity and the genes contained in the sprouted seed.

The world modifiers, also known as “seed genes” are positive and negative attributes included in each seed you find. They will affect the risks, encounters and rewards waiting for you once you start playing. You can create the world that matches your playstyle.

Seeds generate worlds and genes make each seed different from the previous one, and so will the worlds generated from them!

Intense action-packed battles

In Summum Aeterna, you have to fight for your life against all kinds of foes, living or undead. You are a cursed king, armed with weapons fit for royalty!

Don’t hold back, wield your swords, pistols, and scythes to make them fear you before they try to kill you… You can pick a starting weapon at the beginning of each world, but you can also swap it for a different one, no matter the type… It all depends on your abilities!

Summum Aeterna also lets you customize your weapons with gems, rare stones that boost weapon stats and add cool upgrades. Enhance your offensive and passive skills and upgrade your weapons’ performance by inserting gems. You can also level up your weapons to Summum level and unleash their full potential by collecting special blueprints!

Personalized adventures

In Summum Aeterna, you can create your own adventure. Each world will reward you with new seeds and currencies to improve your character skills, unlock new weapons, make the ones you have more powerful and, of course, change the world’s attributes.

You can unlock new special rooms, increase the quality of the items you find, and modify the world conditions in the world upgrade menu. You can also change the quality of your current seeds by altering their genes, or recycle the ones you don’t need to get a seed with higher quality…

Multiplayer leaderboard

Summum Aeterna has an interesting multiplayer and cross-platform feature, the “Board of Champions”. This mechanic tracks the highest-level seed completed in the fastest time possible by each player. There is a leaderboard for influenced seeds and another one for standard seeds.

The reward for being in the top 3 places in the ranking will be a gold, silver or bronze crown, which his majesty will wear in-game regardless of the player’s skin, and as long as the player remains on the podium. Do you want your King of Darkness to be crowned as every monarch deserves?
