      Many of the links for the download have corrupt files or malware. But the second link from the bottom worked for me and it appears to be safe. So I would recommend that one if any of you are having problems with the other links.

      Runs with wine! super easy just download wine and open the exe, install then go to your wine prefix (default is in your documents), then the c drive, program files, undertale, undertale.exe 🙂 enjoy!

    I keep getting “Network Error” when trying to download this, but I can download other things just fine. What’s that about?

    I plan to buy the game/soundtrack bundle once I have money…but I can’t right now. I just want to play it for myself and not be spoiled.

    Spent half an hour trying to figure out why my installation wasn’t working. Just want to make a note for others that you can’t install the game into the same folder that the installer .exe is in or else the actual .exe for the game won’t appear, as the installer and the game file have the same file name, and it won’t ask you about potentially overwriting it.

    How do you get around Chrome saying it’s unsafe? This is the safest download I’ve found + I’m p sure it is actually safe, so how do I download regardless of what Chrome says?

      Author, why the name of the page is skidrowrepacks? I’ve downloaded Metal Gear Solid 5 and it just works fine, but the first time I entered the site I was thinking that this was another “full malware” copy of the original page by skidrow… It would just only be so different if the name was… I don’t know, FullRepacks, ReRepack…

      I hope you realize that Chrome thinks anything with a .exe type file within its packing is a virus. Chrome saying that about downloading a .exe is like saying you should be careful unless you know it’s safe. I can guarantee you that it is safe though, because Chrome always says that, and no it does not scan files for you xD

        Hi, I’ve found the codex file but I don’t really know where to go from there. I’ve trie editing it but it just tells me ‘Acess Denied’ when I try to save it. Am I doing something wrong?

          system drive (usually drive C http://prntscr.com/8z9lst)\users\your username\appdata\roaming\steam\codex\

          for editing codex.ini, cut and paste codex.ini on another drive, edit, save and copy, then back to install directory and paste.

        I can’t find any of my save files at the location you depicted in the image. No reference to the location of the save file could be found in my codex.ini or anywhere else within the undertale folder for that matter.

    I’ve been playing this game on a mac through Wine Bottler. I managed to create 2 seperate prefixes so I can manage to save files (one for pacifist, one for genocide). I can’t seem to get past god damn UNDYNE THE UNDYING on genocide, and all I really did a genocide run was to fight Sans. I downloaded a save of the game before sans, and I know where to put it in, it’s just that I don’t know if it will mess up my Pacifist run. I want to copy the save file and save it for after sans, but my save file isn’t in the place where it should be. Do you know where I can find my save files?

    It’s safe so long as you don’t click the giant DOWNLOAD button at the top of the screen. Read through the whole post for the proper download. Skidrow is pretty trustworthy from my experience.

    Unfortunately, I seem to have the ‘no sound’ bug. I also need to use task manager to close the game, since simply exiting leaves the program running in the background (no idea how that works). I’ve scanned the game, and as far as I know there aren’t any viruses involved. Just kind of sucks the game won’t work properly for me.

    i just downloaded everything fine, no virus… but wheres the thing to open the game?!?!?! all the files are there, but not the game app. its all “Read Me”s, OGG Files, and uninstallers but nowhere is the app or.exe to actually start playing it, just files. What do i do.

    How do I access the Save Files? I tried following the Ini file’s instructions, and the save file is not there. Instead of what it says in the Ini, here is what I find: C:\Users\msi\AppData\Roaming\Steam\CODEX\280360\remote with nothing inside the file.

      I want to back up my save, but everytime I move the Remote folder out and boot the game back up it just assumes what is already saved in the game. How do I switch out one save file with another?

    aww I downloaded using the first link and the installation was just fine, but then I started the game and after Toriel saves you, the screen goes black and all I can hear is the music and then the game crashes ;-;
