In this game, You begin playing as a woman fresh from school and hoping to pass an interview in a mysterious hospital. She is filming it on her smart phone while talking and talking. Then she uses the phone as a flashlight (or more likely another phone as it is in sight of the recording). So chapter (or take 1) revolves around finding a living and breathing human who’ll take that interview, while avoiding a screaming ghost.

Flashback, the second chapter, is from the view of some dude. Or better said his camera. Same thing of finding notes and avoiding a ghost to end with a cut-scene in which he encounters for the first time that ghost thing.

After this is a short chapter and euhm.. rather easy and uneventful. The fast chapter I done in a game, I think.

The final chapter or take, oke I’ll admit that is a good one, is the same with finding notes and so on to reveal a good plot. Not going to spoil it, but it is good! It was surprisingly good actually.

The Final Take PLAZA is a fine horror adventure game and an even bigger achievement when considering that this is the dev team’s debut on Steam. Everything about this game fits the ’80s horror flick style. From the VHS visual effects to the sound department. With plenty of replay value to offset the game’s relative short length, we also have a balanced difficulty slider. It does feature a few jump scares but it’s only fair given the genre. Rooms are dimly lit (even with the flashlight on) at times but it never felt that this is used out of convenience to hide textures or details. It’s one of those rare little gems that has a more than decent asking price right at launch. Any fans of the horror genre should try it and support an enthusiastic team of developers that have so much more to prove. I’m certain.
