I would highly recommend Brawlout Full Game if you’ve been looking for a Smash Bros. type of game for the PC. The matches has a nice flow, the characters are distinct from one another and some of the maps feature destructible environment which adds a bit more depth to them than other games.

Some would say that the character- and map roster is a bit small (there are 6 characters at the moment), but when the characters are this well-designed I don’t feel that there’s a need to have 20 or 40 different characters. As for the maps I don’t really know what to say. I’ve never been the guy that puts that much thought on maps I suppose. The few they have right now looks good.

The writing works very well. It seems very predictable at first, but it really starts to get interesting as you get into it. Despite feeling peacefull to the most part it shakes things up at times just enough to catch you off guard.

It keeps you guessing all the way through. Ive played the game all the way through to the end, and do not worry it does not get bad torwards the end I personally think it gets better the farther into the mystery you go.

Yes, you have to deal with a bratty princess to start out, but there’s actual choice about which way she develops. She isn’t a pushover, which is rather nice. There are a number of interesting endings, which add to playing time and value.

Artwork is very nice, main story and story arcs are well done, card battles are slightly repetitive but the difficulty progression is good (especially the first time through). And despite the repetition, I did find the card games fun.

I managed to get through my first “let’s see how it works” run through without achieving a single “good” romantic ending, but I got a lot further the second time through. Not a spoiler, but good to know: always visit every available location at every opportunity (first time through I made the assumption it was like Long Live the Queen and similar – could only make once choice at any given time of day).
