Core gameplay is build around positioning of groups of people around the map and picking right tools in a right moment. You should be ready to be a hard hearted person. It is necessary to sacrifice a part of the tribe in a right moment in order to survive. But you always can invite new people to joint the tribe as soon as you have enough food. Look for food, avoid predators, eliminate smaller tribes, survive, run! Run people, Run!

Solid start on this game. From looking at the photos I felt this game was similar to Banished. Once I played it I found out its a pretty close cut and paste copy of Bansihed. Is that a bad thing? NO Banished was a great game! This just has a little more detail in things.

One thing that is different is you can take first person control of people and to the everyday tasks. Only downside from that I find is you walk incredibly slow. I look forward to seeing how the mods come into play with this game. If you are a fan of city management games I would recommend this game.

Gameplay The Hive Full Version:

You start off with a single worker and must build a Hive (your primary building) which allows you to construct more workers, a hive queen and eventually a medic. In this game, You will need to gather food to allow you to build more units. You must then construct a barracks to get your first fighting units; one melee, and one ranged.

The melee unit comes in a pack of 6 while the ranged comes in a pack of 4. Resources are what allow you to build these building however food is vital. This game is nice but the camera controls seems off to me. RPG aspect that the developer has added is fun but still unrefined along with the DNA aspect as we are never formally introduced with the features as of yet. On Act 4 the difficulty curve is immense right now and It is hard to beat as your enemies clearly outnumber you and are quick to strike in force. However, from what I know the developer is planning to add a turret type building and I can see the potential for this game.

Game The Hive Full Version is a fun strategy game with a good story. The scenery is nice along with the music, however two of the game mechanics are not mentioned (RPG and DNA). There is currently a huge difficulty curve existing within the game but the developer is planning to add more content which should help even that curve out. The developer is in the discussions and will be happy to reply to you. I suggest getting this game if you like the trailers, but I suggest doing your research to see what has been added/ going to be added. Currently the game is unrefined but its future seems bright.

Game Dungeon Punks Full Version is a really fun Beat-em-up. I highly recommend this game to those that like this genre or just want something fun to play.

There are 6 different classes you can play as, each with their own unique set of spells. You can also buy equipment, which are class specific, to use in combat. You can also gain levels which increases their overall power and use tome points to level up skills.

Each level you have to beat a boss to proceed to the next level. The levels have multiple rooms, you go from room to room and fight enemies. Along the way you may encounter NPC’s that give side quests which will earn you gold and exp.

The best thing about this game is you have AI party members that tag along and fight with you. Very refreshing to see, you can swap between party members as well if you want to play someone different.

One issue I have is the lack of healing in the game, there’s not enough potion drops. This kind of forces you to exit the dungeon early because your party members will die and you’re left alone. You can finish the level alone, but it’s not worth the trouble.

From an hours to price ratio, you will definitely get your money’s worth. The RPG elements combined with the combat are very good and will keep you entertained for a long time.

This review is conditional. I would recommend this game – provided you have the intention of using a controller. The keyboard controls are evidently botched, with a lack of mouse controlled camera, etc. Check the other reviews for a full overview of the PC control problems. Using a controller (Dualshock 4), I’ve found it absolutely fine.

To comment upon the quality of the port, it’s passable. So far I’ve experienced no crashes, although I was skeptical when the game told me to launch it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Overall the only thing that really stood out to me about the port is the lack of anti aliasing, but I can personally get used to that (being a veteran of World of Warships, amirite?).

Finally, to comment upon how the game plays, I’m finding the combat remarkably fun. Once you get used to the quick and minimal room between button presses to launch a successful attack, it becomes rather satisfying to do so. Movement is rather simple and easy to get used to, and all in all I can see myself sinking quite a lot of time into this game. It’s probably up to you to decide whether or not you’re willing to spend £40 on it.
