Review Crystalline Full Version : I heard about Ace Academy but I wasn’t really into visual novels at the time so I just forgot about it. When I found out about the Kickstarter for Crystalline I was on the fence about it so I decided to try the demo first to get a feel for it. I instantly fell in love with everything: the world, the characters, and especially the pango 🙂 . While it is set up as your standard “Transported to another world” stroy, PixelFade has done a great job making the story come to life (not just with their fully moving 2.5D character models).

If you are like me and have never really been into visual novels, I still reccomend Crystalline because you won’t feel like you are playing a “anime-styled” game. You’ll feeling like you are playing a really printed novel akin to many popular book series coming out recently. Review Pyre Full Game : Pyre Full Version is a visual novel but that doesn’t mean it’s bad by any stretch of the imagination! i love the story and atmosphere to death, the characters have all been wonderful so far, and there’s that sense of intrigue, things you don’t quite know yet but will organically learn as you go, that was so pervasive and delightful in Transistor. the gameplay is fun and does a great job of punctuating the read-y bits but keep in mind that this is a visual novel, the gameplay isn’t the focus. i’m very happy that SGG is willing to try new things and i am not even a little bit against that new thing not being an RPG so long as it’s well executed, which i have to say it is here! Review Game WAGAMAMA HIGH SPEC Full Version : Ten minutes into the game and I already found a Skyrim reference. 10/10

All jokes aside, this game is turning out better than I was expecting. I can’t give a decent review about the story at this popint in time as I havent gotten very far yet, but I can say that the visuals and bgm are some of the best I have experienced in a visual novel. The voice acting is also very well done, and I havent stumbled across any translation errors as of yet. If your looking for a Slice of life/Comedy/Romance visual novel to play, then look no further. Only recommended if you plan on installing the R18 patch. Great if you like embarrased girls who are a bit forced into their various situations. The rest of the game, however, has some issues. the non-drawn portions of the game have low quality graphics, gameplay is sparse, areas are few, dialogue not involved with the heroines is sparse, some things are not translated, and what is translated is often done so poorly. Review Game The Letter – Horror Visual Novel Full Version : PC game The letter is a pretty awesome horror visual novel. From the moment I started it up, I noticed that it has a charm and polish that few other visual novels (even some of the greats) have.

The writing pulls you in fairly quickly. I usually have trouble caring about characters from other stories for several hours, but after about 30 minutes I was entirely drawn in. The artwork is very aesthetically pleasing, it really looks very beautiful. Also, the backgrounds have a lot of small interesting touches that add to the immersion. The music is really well done. There have been a couple of tracks that I paused to listen to for a few minutes, and the suit the situation almost perfectly.

I cannot wait to see what else The Letter has in store for me, and I wish YangYang Mobile all the luck in the world for their future projects. I am really happy to have backed their Kickstarter project because this small team from the Philipines delivered in spades.
