Pros:

  • Mainly focuses on exploration more than anything.
  • You can land on planets as well as fly in space.
  • Dogfighting doesnt feel too bad.
  • Ground exploration has a lot to offer.
  • Interesting mechanics for translating alien languages.
  • Can be played offline.

Cons:

  • Due to the type of game it is, it tends to have lag spikes when rendering a lot of the
  • environment at once.
  • Inventory system is confusing at first.
  • Resource gathering was slightly confusing at the beginning.

Overall No Man’s Sky Full Version:

If you are looking for a stylish and vast universe to explore at your leisure then this is the game for you. Gameplay is solid and everything works as intended so far. No crashes or bugs for me as of yet. You can also play it even if you lose connection to the online services.

I was only able to play a few hours before going to bed but from what I have played this is exactly the kind of game that I payed for. People are mad because the dev “lied” but the dev never fully intended there to be full multiplayer.

Originally you could see other players but interaction was minimal and the chance of it was made to be slim. So taking out being able to see other players just makes sense and people have been giving them way too much crap for it. As for the actual gameplay it seems slightly minimal. The game prides itself on exploration and thats exactly what I wanted but for most the game was hyped up to be a successor to Elite. Knowing what this game is and if it what you are looking for then by all means purchase this game. I have had a blast with it and it fills the gap that Starforge left behind.

Heart&Slash Full Version gives you everything you can expect from a game that dares to label itself as roguelike. Hard enough to force you get good at it and frustrating every time you die in one of those promising runs. Add on top of that an interesting combat system and endless weapons to play with.

I first found this game on kickstarter and I have been following it since then. Having tested earlier versions, this last one didn’t disappoint me.

Most of the problems the game had are not there anymore, but it still maintains some of the problems it used to have. The one that bothers me most is the camera during the combat, it is hard to focus on enemies when you are surrounded and it sometimes moves too fast.

A really interesting and fresh game that will give you a good amount of entertaining hours!

An adorable clicker game where you have to care for your own swamp garden. The gameplay is pretty simple. You need to gather fruits, leaves, flowers and critters in order to make potions to sell. You can feed animals, sacrifice them if they are big enough, so they can help you as a spirit. So long you level up, you unlock more stuff to make potions. It worked out very relaxing for me, and it kept me busy for a while.

I love the look of the game. The style of everything and the colour palette are super cute and comfy to look at. The soundtrack reminded me somehow of Age of Empires, with those drum sound effects. Perhaps I would have liked a more extensive tutorial at the beginning because not all things were clear to me. Besides that I don’t have any negative points.

I would recommend this game for people who like to play a simple relaxing game for not too much money.  My rating for this game: 7/10.

This game is made by the same company that did Stranger of Sword City. The engine has been upgraded to handle animated monsters and the like, and it seems to have the same environment and monster artists. However, the character art is pure anime.

Customization:

You get a pre-set team of three characters for each storyline. Each character only gets choices of which abilities to unlock first, more DPS or more defense, more damage of one element type or another, etc. This is the unfortunate downside of the game’s anime nature, with fully-animated characters during boss battles.

Difficulty:

Easier than Stranger of Sword City, once you get used to the combat system.

Dungeons:

A lot more complex and interesting than Stranger of Sword City so far. The dungeons are closer to Wizardry in their complexity.

Story:

The first party has had a very anime story so far. Think of something like Evangelion, except, with gods and monsters from Chinese & Japanese mythology rather than horrific angels. Hopefully the other two parties (i.e. the second half of the game) have more interesting stories.

Combat Mechanics:

A lot of the combat system was carried over from Stranger of Sword City, but a lot of it was changed as well. Each character can do up to 5 actions, with each action taking various amounts of AP. Characters can wait to regenerate the party’s AP, and defensive actions only take AP if they are triggered. When enemies attack, this gives AP back to the party. Starting with the 3rd dungeon, the combat mechanics get a lot more interesting, but they will not be spoiled here.

Overall:

The game is more good than bad. It is about as casual as a dungeon crawler can get without going into straight Visual Novel territory. The game is recommended for anyone who is looking for an anime-style visual novel that has an RPG for all the fighting scenes. If you liked the gameplay of this game, then also try.

Kingdom: New Lands is the expansion to the original game Kingdom. The original game kept me busy in it’s beautiful forests and country sides while being intranced in the calming music. This expansion has changed so much that it’s hard to know where to begin, but I’ll break it down into four catagories:

Gameplay :

This game in Kingdom: New Lands consists of defending your kingdom against waves of enemies, doing this by building up defences with the money you earn when your archers kill animals or farmers finish their crop. These enemies vary from small and easy to kill to large and near unstoppable. The gameplay is kept fresh between games due to the random map generation. Also this is all accomplished with three buttons.

Graphics :

The graphics in Kingdom and Kingdom: New Lands amaze me they are incredibly beautiful yet simplistic. To put it lightly they are stunning, and now with the addition of seasons they are near perfect.

Music :

The music in this game is composed by ToyTree and let me just say the music is great to listen to, in game or out. I highly recomend getting the Royal Edition so as to get the soundtrack with the game.

Replayability :

Alot changes in each game of Kingdom: New Lands, this is due in part to the rando map gen and the rouge like elements, but also to the large amount of options available to you in game. This game does not lose it’s steam after many playthroughs nor does it detract anything from the expierience.

Overall Kingdom: New Lands sitcks with the best parts of the original Kingdom while bringing an incredibal amount of content to the table. Buy it now, show support for devs who add this much content to a game! (Also most of my time in this game was without steam so I have near 9-10 hours overall through betas and such.)
